i-NAS
To
accommodate the multi-faceted backup needs of workgroups at the mid-range level,
SohoNAS-312
is a stand-alone 2 bay external Network Attached Storage device supporting up to
720GB. It adds redundant disks space for more secured data storage and it can
also support larger storage demands.
SohoNAS-312
inherits all the file sharing and internet services capabilities of Internet
Disk and increases hardware performance to 100Mbps plus level,
so it can serve more concurrent connections with better throughput and more
reliable RAID backup scheme.
The high
availability hardware and firmware architecture of i-NAS protects
against hard-disk failure in two ways. First, the core of the OS boots from
flash memory rather than from a hard drive, with user accounts, the network
(including firewall), and other services information intact. Second, it comes
with two kinds of disk protection: Disk Backup technology (which, as the name
implies, ability to backs up your data), and RAID-1 (which mirrors the hard
drive, allowing the server to keep running if one disk fails). The hard drives
of i-NAS are easily removable and accessible from the front panel,
so swapping out a failed drive is a snap.
i-NAS series
bring benefits to branch offices, corporate offices, and groups with multiple
workstations that share files and require data availability and security with
automated backups. Within a small mailbox form-factor, the
i-NAS
unit includes up to 720 GB of native capacity provided by two 360 GB hard drives
that can be set up in RAID 1 configurations for added data security. The
i-NAS
is also gigabit Ethernet-ready for enhanced network sharing configurations.
